This book was completely underwhelming for me. Cook’s profession as a doctor has provided him with ideas and background for many of his novels.


The book is fast paced and well written, but modern readers may have difficulty mindgend to Adam’s thought processes, especially when it comes to interacting with his wife. Jumping straight to an epilogue seemed like a neat way around dealing with any of the aftermath of the things that had happened. The food on the cruise is also drugged and then after they are good and drugged they are given subliminal suggestions and secret BRAIN surgery!!!!

This was the colk Robin Cook novel I ever picked up, and I must say it kept me on an edge till I finished the book. Perhaps that is why Mindbend felt short to me when I picked it up. The main character travels a lot and is unreachable by his wife who is pregnant back home.
